Permabond UV632 is a high-performance UV-curing adhesive specifically engineered for superior bonding of plastics, particularly acrylic. This low-viscosity adhesive features excellent wicking properties, allowing it to penetrate thin cracks effectively. With its unique long-wavelength photo initiator, UV632 can cure through UV-stabilized plastics while maintaining exceptional adhesion to polycarbonate, PET, glass, and metals. The adhesive cures rapidly under UV light, achieving impressive shear strength of over 1000 psi on polycarbonate and up to 1000 psi on glass-to-steel bonds. Once cured, it delivers outstanding optical clarity and colorless finish, making it ideal for applications where visual appearance is crucial. UV632 maintains 60% of its strength at 212°F and offers excellent elongation properties of over 70%. The fast curing time varies by UV source - just 2 seconds with a 30W/cm² UV light guide, 4 seconds with a 100mW/cm² LED lamp, or 10 seconds with a low-power battery lamp.
